Question #1 img and alt are reversed does this matter on my downloaded template?
Question #2 how should the code appear under ‘IMAGE-LINK-HERE’ if using photobucket as a host? I ask because I don’t get a pizza box I get the little colored box not the photo.

I have several people who are wanting to leave comments on my blog, but if they are trying to make their comments anonymous there is no place to right in the verification word…and no submit button. How can I fix this?

Host all javascript files in your own javascript hosting. If you don’t have one, you can register an account on or ;)

Ive changed javascript hosting and although the error has stopped popping up it still says ‘error on page’ at the bottom of the page and the slider is still not moving.

Any ideas of what i should do!? Please !!!

Do not use Filefactory, because it doesn’t provide direct links for javascript files (I mean, it does not allow hotlinking). Use or Tripod Lycos instead.

I have the problem of the slider stopped at the first photo. It doesn’t move. The start/stop button doesn’t show and the files are hosted at bloggerstyle as you suggested. The strange thing is that I can see the slider working in the dashboard!! but not in the pages. I don´t know what to do I have followed all the instructions but it’s not working. Shoul I get version 2?

And could you tell me how to remove the white line in the head section!? Thanks a loooot!!!

I finally got the slide to work! It was a Wibiya bar I was using; once I removed it, the slide moved again. Sometimes there are scripts which interfere with other script, Chek that.

However I haven’t figured out how to remove the white bar at the top of the page, though.

Hi everybody. My slide is now working just check two things: the javascript link which I’ve replaced and if there is some other script which might interfere with the slide. I’ll explain myself:

I tried to host my own java but I’m honest I never knew how to do it right so I copied the adress from other site which slide was working.So, I looked for this in my template with the expanded gadgets ticked (this is important):

and remplaced for the ones I found in the other site which are these:

The thing was that my template worked perfectly in the dashboard screen but not in my blog itself so, I asked and asked and asked till eventually someone told me to check if there was some other kind of script interfering so I tried removing thing by thing till the Wibiya bar was gone, so in that moment my slide worked again. So, if you change the java adress BUT the slide is not working check the second option.
AND if someone knows how to get ridd of the awful white bar at the top of the template I would realle appreciate the explanation.
Good luck

I love this template, I just have a few questions, before it’s perfection:

1. How do I add more pictures to the slide show? What is the code used to do so? Is there a way to center the pictures as well?

2. How can I delete that small amount of white space after the featured video?

Thank you!

Kaitlyn 18 May 2010 at 18:46

Hi everyone,

You can get rid of that white box by going into the HTML and deleting the adsense portion of the template:

That should work! (Unless, of course, you want to use that space for ads!)

I tried using lycos to host the js files as you suggested but it’s still not working.

What am I doing wrong?

↩ Reply
Claudia 24 May 2010 at 16:18

@Marisol: I will no longer recommend Lycos due to some changes they made on their site. The easiest way to host javascript file is by a Google Code account… but I hosted the files for you.

Please, go to Layout/Edit HTML and replace:

<script src='' type='text/javascript'/>
<script src='' type='text/javascript'/>

<script src='' type='text/javascript'/>
<script src='' type='text/javascript'/>

@Andrea V. Lewis:

Well I got rid of it by going to edit hmtl and look for the css part where Banner background is, then replace the url by the world “none” and it’ll dissapear.

I have been using the slider for years and it worked perfectly fine. I hosted all the .js in my personal Google account. No issues at all until few months back.

The slider works initially but it behaves strangely after couple of repeats. It will start to repeat the same picture twice and ultimately it will show just blank after 2-3 minutes. Refreshing the page will make it work again from the beginning but the same problem arises after 2-3 minutes later again.

Browser issue or the .js is already obsolete to the browser? Because nothing was updated or changed except for my Google Chrome updates once awhile.

This is an awesome template and I love all of the helpful comments. Rare to find helpful discussions like this.

The slider works fine but two things I am having trouble with:

1. When the slider starts, after the first image, the follow on images appear about 50 pixels lower (i.e. they are not vertically centered anymore). What is causing this problem?

2. I would really like to slow down the transition.

In case you are wondering, I am using the latest version of FireFox and I don’t have a JS server. I am working 100% from the blogger interface.

Thanks in advance!

Oh I also forgot that my comments section is not working.

3) It takes me to the blogger commenting interface, and

4) I am not able to make comments and comment box automatically visible

Once I can resolve these problems, I will be able to launch my bolg. Please help!

Thank you :)
